Well, this thing sucks! If my wall doesn't have a vertical slope, the design of this guitar doesn't work with the headstock angle of an SG model guitar which is the intended use of this hanger, right!?

Pros: It can carry the weight of your guitar.
Cons: Everything else.
The story is; after I drilled and screwed the top part of the hanger and slide down my SG down I noticed the neck was touching the wall in vertical position. (I didn't care much and) moved to positioning the bottom part and I realized there is no way that the bottom strap pin gets into the whole on the bottom part of the hanger. The headstock needs to be go into the wall for that to happen.

I unscrewed, put 4 washers between the wall and the hanger before screwing and tried again: Now I was able to put the bottom strap pin into the bottom part of the hanger. HOWEVER, it is not fully safe for the headstock. I was out of screw washers and couldn't improve it to the level it is safe for the headstock while taking/ hanging the guitar.

Lets say my wall has a horrible slope inwards after the level I screwed down the hanger part... Still, the design can give more space to overcome this kind of un-even surface problems. If my wall is not horrible in reality, design and therefore quality of the product is not good enough to make it usable.

I don't recommend for any guitar that has its top strap neck at the back of it and a angled headstock!
P.S.: I also tried with an Ibanez ART series jazz guitar. Same Issue!

Zunächst einmal ein echtes Ärgernis:

Die Beschreibung sagt aus, dass diese Halterung für Gitarren mit Gurtpins auf der Rückseite sei und benennt explizit die SG als Beispiel.
Und genau diese SG, für die ich das Teil blöderweise bestellt habe, passt überhaupt nicht, wie ja auch ein anderer Rezensent bereits bemerkt hat. Bei der 2016er SG sind die Gurtpins nebenbei eh schon zu breit, um in die Nut zu passen. Aber nicht verwirren lassen: Es passt eben auch nicht, wenn man - wie ich - Schaller Straplocks montiert hat. Dann stimmt die Nut, aber die Kopfplatte will dennoch durch die Wand.

Das ist sehr ärgerlich, da ich Idiot der Beschreibung geglaubt habe und mit der Montage (sprich: Bohren von Loch) dummerweise begonnen hatte. Zwar habe ich mir die Mühe gemacht, alles schön vorher im Kopf einmal durchzugehen, aber dass das Teil am Ende bedingt, dass man mit dem Stemmmeißel einen Mauerabtrag für die abgewinkelte Kopfplatte stemmen müsste, hätte ich mir nun wirklich nicht träumen lassen. Na ja, Lernen durch Schmerz.

Bitte die Produktbeschreibung ändern, den eine SG Standard schraubt damit garantiert niemand an die Wand. Das ist sehr ärgerlich und schlicht eine Lüge.

Zum zweiten: Ja, das Material wird es schon noch schaffen eine SG zu halten, aber a) ist es nicht gerade vertrauenerwckend und man fragt sich, ob dieses Zeug nicht irgendwann doch chemisch ermüdet (pures Gefühl - kann durchaus ewig halten) und b) ist der Rohling bei mir unsauber und voller Einschlüße. Das wäre nun kein Beinbruch, aber einen Qualitätsanspruch erfüllt das sicherlich nicht.
